ALBANIA- 7 Days, Cities,History, Nature & Traditional Foods

Arrival at the Tirana Int. Airport or port of Durres, transfer from the airport to Tirana and accommodation in Hotel. After checking in at hotel, a visit to Tirana, walk to The Skanderbeg Square (Albanian: Sheshi Skënderbej)which is the main plaza in the centre of Tirana, Albania. The square is named after the Albanian national hero Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu. The total area is about 40.000 square metres. The Skanderbeg Monument dominates the square. There we will visit the Historical Museum, passing through the Ethem Beut Mosque, the Pyramid, Madre Teresa Square, Blloku post with the back of the dictator’s house Enver Hoxha.
– Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Departure in the morning for Kruje. Visit to the Bazaar, the Kruje Castle, the Scanderbeg museum and the Ethnographic museum and coffee break in the castle.In return we will stop for lunch in the castle of Preze about 20 minutes away and after lunch we will see the castle. At the end departure for Tirana.
– Dinner at the restaurant and overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast we will head towards the city of Berat. During the way we will stop in Durres, where we will visit the Amphitheater, the archaeological museum, the Venetian tower and the Volga promenade Then we will head for Berat. Accommodation at the hotel. After lunch, a walking trip led through the streets of the UNESCO’s historic center, we will see the White Mosque, the Holy Trinity Church and the Gorica Bridge. In the afternoon, the Berat castle guide tour and for dinner we will enjoy traditional dishes at a local restaurant, with wonderful views of the old and new town.

In the morning we leave Berat, the first stop will be the arenic monastery. After Ardenices we will go to the archaeological park of Apollonia. After Apollonia, lunch and then launch to discover the “stone town” Gjirokastra, with its small picturesque villages. After checking in at the hotel, we will visit the castle of Gjirokaster. We will pass through the Ottoman Bazaar , we will stop at the Zekate house, one of the oldest Ottoman houses in Albania, we will visit the Ethnographic Museum and the native house of the Albanian communist dictator Enver Hoxha. Free time.

– Overnight at Hotel.

Departure to the Blue Eye to admire the blue shades of water and the surrounding nature. Continue to Butrinti for a visit to the Butrint Archaeological Park, where we will get acquainted with the history built into the amphitheater, the castle, the churches and the lion’s door. We will then stop at Ksamil for a lunch at a restaurant near the sea. In the afternoon, we return to Saranda. Free Movement.

After breakfast,we return to Tirana with a coffee break during the way at the Borsh Falls and visit the Ali Pashe Tepelena Castle in Porto Palermo. After visiting the castel, we stop at the montana of Llogara for lunch , in the middle of the woods and the beauty of nature. After lunch the next stop will be Tirana. Dinner at the Hotel.
